What does it mean when two people in a relationship take a break?

Im a guy and i met this girl 9 months ago, we've been dating for 6 months now. (im 19, shes 18) Things had been really great until about a month or two ago, when we started having dumb arguments over texting. We would usually hangout once or twice during the week, and every weekend. Slowly, we would hang out less and less and she would be less affectionate. i finally confronted her about it and she told me she was getting annoyed because i always said things (through text) that got her annoyed and she needed some time apart. Its been two weeks since then, we've still texted everyday, but i FEEL that its different (no smiley faces, no convos, i have to basically keep asking questions and she simply answers them, no convo like before), she says she's not "over" me, but i feel like maybe she is...your thougths?
