Water splashed on my macbook pro what do i do?

i know this sounds really dumb, please bare with me. I was in the pool with friends and we decided to jump in the water and take a picture on photobooth water splashed all over the screen, so i ran to dry to as i was running it went black, i cant even tell if its still on. when i plug the charger in it shows it charging, im really scared because i just bought this around december, i took the back off im not sure whether to take the battery out or not because it says not to... please help idk what to do..
