Isn't it dumb that I have to wear overalls for this?

I'm going to visit my grandma's today. I'm 17 and my 14 year old sister and I have to wear overalls when we go. Mom says we need to wear overalls when we visit grandma because its more conservative and she wants us to look nice but I think it's dumb. Don't you agree?
