Is the digital canning industry vibrant?

I've been hearing a lot about the digital canning industry lately in the news. Apparently there are high profits! Is this a good venture for an amateur digital canner? I have been digitally canning pickles and jam for several years with my two brothers Harold and Mark Willum. We have some start up money we won in the US competitive bridge (card game) circuit and are ready to put our time into a trade.
