I'm an iPod app hoarder?

I am the same way as you dude, and what I did was i did a full restore and deleted all apps off of my ipod. Than I would never look for apps, just download the ones that I needed. Than I ended up with a group of apps that I used everyday or played everyday. Than if you havnt used one for a good couple months delete it and than download just 1 and just manage it better that way.
