Clothing argument with 10 yearold?

we have 4 boys ages 5,5,7,10 and recently me and my 10 yearold decides he wants to argue about the clothes he is bought for a long time he never cared now all of a sudden he doesnt want to wear the clothes i got him anymore i dont for one second think he should have a say at all he never complained untill recently he said his friend made fun of him for wearing overalls and cartoon pajamas, should i believe him? or am i wrong for making him wear what i want him to?
